Different question about moisture in modern guns

Bear with me here, I’m fairly new to PCPs. 
I have an Avenger and an Artemis PP750 and have had them both apart to some extent.

what is the concern with moisture in guns like these with aluminum and brass parts? I could understand the concern if dealing with mild steel but with other alloys what is the issue?

I've seen valves and reservoirs completely destroyed by rust and particles. Use the search function and you can find some cool examples here.

Don't stress out about it. Just take a measured response with some filters and you will be fine. If you are pumping don't let the tube get warm. If you are using a compressor get some molecule sieve dessicant filter. I think @biohazard has some posts on his filter set up. Keep an eye out and you will probably see one within 48hrs posted here. Alternative search for it through the search function above or contact reputable members and ask their opinion.

Aluminum corrodes also.

Aluminum will form a white powder as its corrosion in most cases, or in the worst case, it can actually flake material off of the parent metal.

I filter air into scba bulk tank (desiccant and large synthetic oil/vapor kind ) and "tampon" filter to gun reservoir. Nothing bad yet, keeping my fingers crossed. Also run a dehumidifier in my compressor room before I bulk fill. Don't know if it makes a lot of difference but can't hurt either.

I have a couple of pcp’s that are 5-8 years old, never used any type of desiccant etc. No problems as of yet, but I do live in a pretty dry environment, time will tell.
