Different Pellets - Newbie question!

I'm new to the AG world. So I purchased the FX Crown .25, air compressor, SCBA tank, quality optics, rings, etc. I've only shot the JSB King Diabolo since that's what the Crown was set for. Once I got the gun, I performed the harmonic tuning to get the best accuracy out of the JSB's. Now, to my question. All these different pellets, hollow points, pointed, armor piercing, etc...have different characteristics, yes?! I'll assume that if I change over to another line, then I'll be back to harmonic tuning to that particular pellet. Is there's any real advantage to the other pellets? I'll pick off the occasional squirrel during season because I do enjoy eating them and the JSB's have definitely impressed me with the ability to drop them dead. Most of what I do, recently, is sit in the back yard and pick off the berries on my Bradford Pear trees and Walnuts. Occasionally, I'll smear some cow manure on a 2x12 and splatter the green doodoo flies. I've watched numerous YouTube vids where they test different pellets in Ballistics gel or a block of clay, but they don't mention accuracy. I'm more into accuracy than how big a hole the pellet leaves. For those who've tread the waters, chime right on in.....

I have an FX Royale 500 .25 cal -- with the smooth twist barrel -- that I use FX brand pellets (25.4 gr) in about 30% of the time. I purchased these pellets from AoA when the JSBs were in short-supply. The salesperson claimed the pellets were the same as the JSBs.😕?

I have not noticed any discernible difference in the accuracy of JSBs and the FX pellets.

I have a Crown .25 and I tried about 10 different pellets when I bought my gun. Some of the H&N pellets shot well but nothing compared to the JSB 25.4 and 33.95 for accuracy. It's fun to experiment and play around with different pellets but when people always sing the praises of JSB's in FX guns, it's because they're accurate, really accurate! Although all guns shoot a little differently and like different pellets, I'm 99.9% sure that if you tune your gun to the 25.4 and/or the 33.95, it will be hard to find a pellet that shoots more accurately. I have my dope/drop cards made up for each pellet so I can switch back and forth effectively. I almost always use the 25.4, unless it's really windy or I'm shooting really long, then I switch to the 33.95's for the higher BC and retained energy. I don't think there's anything out there that can be stopped by another pellet but not the 33.95's. My gun has the hammer spring almost maxed out, the reg. pressure at 140bar and shoots the 25.4 pellets at 935-940fps and the 33.95 pellets at 835--840fps. Remember, accuracy and shot placement trump all else and JSB's are accurate, very accurate! Find a pellet that works well in your gun and stick to it! I hope this helped at least a little. Stoti

that gun loves JSB's it was designed around the 25 and 34 grain pellets plus the mk11 34 grains.also by JSB. as an FX owner JSB and Air arms pellets are the only good pellets. for that gun. H&N, crosman, predator, all have much bigger spread when shot, at least in my experience. now if you are able to upgrade to a smooth twist x barrel from fx. it will expand the variety of pellets you can shoot well, even some slugs. you can watch matt dubbar of airarmshuntingSA on youtube. he has videos on it.
