Wasn't this thing $1000 like yesterday? Why the 20% increase?

Maybe it increased due to supply and demand. Kinda crappy on pyramydair.com to increase the price.![]()
Mine lasted for less than 1 of use, then wouldn't pressurize higher than ~110bar.
But it was also one of the cheaper $1,000 ones...
The Euro exchange rate is currently unfavorable to the dollar. It had gotten as low as $1.05 a couple of years ago but is $1.22 now. It makes imports expensive and exports cheaper.
Nobody was a bigger Hill EC-3000 booster than I was even though $999 was a little bit high for what the Hill was competing against. Now that it’s $1200 my endorsement is no longer applicable. Sorry, Hill and Pyramyd. You are pricing yourself out of the marketplace.
These small HPA PCP compressors are appealing at their price points for the most part .... My problem with them is that none of them offers service manuals, parts lists/diagrams or spare parts or rebuild kits ..... IMO that is an indicator that the manufacturer considers these as throwaway items that they hope will last a day past their warranties if any. I love the look and appeal of the Hill EC-3000 but until I am convinced that the manufacturer intends for this to be a long term item with available service resources I think my money would be better spent on proven reliable brands like Bauer IMO.
