DIANA STEALTH.

Have not posted about my Diana for awhile. It was one of the biggest pieces of poop I've ever owned. I have it out in my shop with my other pellet guns, Been busy with other things and getting my new Remington 1100 Competition set up for when they open the clay shooting again. Went to go shoot it and it is cover in rust, none of my other guns have a problem.. Cleaned it up some what and started shooting it and now it won't latch. I took it apart and looks like the piston notch hole is worn bad. I only have around 5000 pellets threw it. The second seal that AOA gave me to install has the lip torn again. Sent emails to couple different places with no responses. Will not go back to AOA. My old Gammo's and Crossman"s keep on working.

AOA is very helpful and perhaps they can talk to Diana about some solutions. Diana is consistently touted as a great quality rifle. It isn’t. It is a moderately priced entry rifle. HW is a better brand, and I will probably get run out of town for saying anything against Diana.

Buy an HW95. I have one. You will still have to protect it from rust though with consistent wipe downs and oils and keep it in a dry place inside your house (not the garage).

Also, if it is covered in rust that indicates that you didn’t have the gun in a dry place; if the other guns didn’t rust that is because they likely have a cheaper barrel (I know it sounds counter intuitive) but a solid steel barrel and bluing has to be maintained with wipe downs with small amounts of oil. Small things like fingerprints can destroy a gun with a small amount of moisture in the air, and being that you said it was covered in it, sounds like you have plenty of moisture.

I get run out of town for mentioning the issues I have had with my HW97kt.

Oh, how dare I?....

But my experiences are mine, and my preferences are mine.

Yeah sometimes Diana looks very, very appealing to me, especially their N-techs in the 350 class and up. But at that price point it is a high end gun. The difference between the Stealth and their top of the line is that the Stealth is moderately priced with more marketing gimmicks like the name and look: introducing the amazing “STEALTH.” Whereas a 350 or 34 or other names are not flashy (but have more actual value).

I’m probably half full of hot air right now, so while I am I will journey to the pneumatic thread so I can type faster, but that other half of air is spot on! Many buyers get bought by marketing and not engineering...

I had a issue with Beeman's first venture into the world of gas spring airguns. That was the blend of Weihrauch and Theoben technology. More known as the Beeman RX. I had several hang fire issues with that 5mm rifle. Hang fires are scary stuff !! Beeman repaired the rifle free of charge and it did become my favorite airgun. They stamped a "1" next to the RX and it was now a Beeman RX1. Motto of the story. Lemons exist whether they are in the world of automobiles or airguns.

Wonder WHY they ditched the fabulous Record for those crappy triggers? Yo!

You mean Rekord trigger. I cant remember how the trigger was on my RX1. I think it was pretty good. It was a HW afterall.
