I own a 1.77cal Diana model 48 side lever and was wondering if any one makes dopier sights that would be easy to fit RWS rifles, and also if anyone knows how to tune (SLOW) the fps down.It can put a pellet through a pellet hole at ten yards but....as the pellet travels farther it becomes unstable as i think its shooting around 1100fps
Thanks for any help .

I always thought that detuning a 48 to be easy to cock and pleasant to shoot would be a fun project.
I imagine finding a diopter sight would not be a problem. it's the funky barrel shroud/ front sight and base that would be a challenge. If I were to do it I would sleeve the barrel with carbon fiber tubing and go from there.
Perhaps cutting and reforming the spring would be a good option for lower power.
Good luck with your project.

"sonny"Thanks Guys, Ive tryed heavy pellets up to (11.75gr H&N sport silver piont)but its still a little to fast.
I'll look into junkyard Airgun JoeWayneRhea
Thanks again
I own a .22 48 and suggest this JSB sample pack:

Don't hold out hope for the 25 grain pellets in your 48. But I would be shocked if one of the other pellets didn't turn out to be the "magic" pellet in your rifle...

I have had 4 or 5 UTG scopes. I have had one fail and was replaced under warranty. I have had them on my 34, 48, 350 and Hatsan 135. They've not had an easy life.
