Diana Diana P5 German

the P5 Diana was based on the Diana 5G and was to be a higher FPS pistol and it was but not to the point that they advertised
the grips are the same as the 5g-6g-6m pistols
they put Fiber optic sights on the pistol and i my view a big mistake
they also added a safety that is in the trigger guard and after shooting Diana pistol for so long you will forget to push it up all the time, so it become a PITA
the sear has a torsion spring added and the cocking linkage is only on this piston
it is a sound pistol that will have a certain amount of recoil
the pistol also has a barrel weight but not cock handle to help you cock it
a LP8 barrel weight could be added but i believe the front sight would be too high
there is one on here for sale for pictures
it was manufacture under the name P5 from 2001-2003 and then they change the name to 5GM mag from 2003-2008 same pistol
the p5 was made in .177 and .22 the later pistol was .177 only
the early pistol has lower number for FPS and then later pistol had an advertise fps of 700

the only pistol Diana make is the LP8
it is based on the previous pistols but has a totally new look and the trigger assembly is unique to the pistol
the trigger components and the quality of the pistol is top notch
but it has it's short comings
it is very big and it is heavy and the trigger is very poor for us trigger snobs like myself
i completely rebuilt mine to the point it is as good as a target pistol
there is the LP8 with a Beeman P1 and Diana model 6
those are Ultra Dot Red Dot sight
