Diana Model 38 value

I have a chance to purchase a Diana model 38 in excellent condition with RWS 4x scope. What is the current market value of this rifle?

Guess would be in the $200 range depending on condition.

$160= 80%, $195=90%, $235=95% according to the last Blue Book. I found a nice one last year.

.. i was told that the model 38's are the most rare of model 34 family (31, 34, 36, 38, 40)..... i once saw a minty one on gunbroker that was a .22 diana model 38 carbine (38c).... ive seen 2-3 different stocks on model 38's... here's some data, tho.. - paul. :;:

. MODEL 38 (MFG. DISC. 1998) - .177 or .22 cal., BBC, 919/689 FPS, 19.5 in. barrel, beech stock, 34.53 in. OAL, 8 lbs. Importation disc. 1998.

The 1922-1940, 38E, and disc. 1998 Model 38 air rifles are not related to each other.





Last MSR was $345.

I purchased a model 38 / .177 95% condition with RWS 4x scope for $200.00 last month. Based upon responses this seems like a fair price.

I like the rifle & accuracy seems good, although I’ve shot less than 25 pellets thru it. The barrel after cocking is not smooth to return to closed position. I have lubed links but I’m puzzled by this? Cocking is smooth.

this is a .177 & I tend to shoot my .22 R1 or R9 more.

I'm going to resurrect this thread because I'm looking for one of this style of 38. I just saw one for sale but it was with the walnut 36 style stock. I already have a 36 carbine.

I had a 38 with this slab, square fore end style stock in the early 90's. I got it brand new for Christmas and being an idiot (and a teenager) I sold it a few years later.

If anyone knows someone looking to sell, I'd be interested.
