This was a bargain close out from the good old boys at Umarex. I paid $168.00 including shipping a decent scope with a dropper mount.

I bought one of the new pg 3 steel vortek kits and so far I’m liking it.


It’s to soon to judge, but with only 20 or so pellets down the pipe it’s shooting JSB 10.34 at 829 with a low es.

Mid February I’ll be going to our range and I’ll see how it groups,

Good score! Does that have the T05 or T06 trigger? I do love my T05 on my 36. I like it better that my T06 34.

I like the shorty barrel. It looks good! How is it to cock? What other springer could you compare it to? I am familiar with HW guns (95,77,97,30,50....). Thanks!

Have more than once given a hard look at that rifle! Fine looking gun. Not sure I could have passed up on that price. Very nice buy, enjoy it!

T06, was crunchy when cocking. I deburred some and now not so crunchy. But honks when I return barrel to battery. I’m sure that will go away with time, maybe more grease is needed. Very stiff when cocking. I loosened barrel screw but still stiff. Size feels like an HW 30. Shoots more like an HW 80.

Only thing I dislike is that it has a plastic butt pad. It’s slippery on my shoulder. I’ll have a buddy grind fit a rubber one for it if it turns out to be a shooter,

Upon closer examination, I discovered the “honking” is caused by the cocking linkage rubbing on the slot in the stock. One side is alittle too close. I sanded and oiled the wood slot so we will see if that works. It could be the oil will make the wood swell and make it worse. Or it might just be enough lube to stop the slight honk.

Thought about getting out my Dremel. But it takes me longer to remember how to put it together than it takes to do the job.

I found my trusty wood rasp and rasp open the slot a little. No more honk, no more rubbing. Somewhat easier to return to battery as well.

Cant wait to get it to the range.

I got in on the same $168 deal. Haven't done a thing to mine other than put a better scope on it. Mine's a shooter, already taken collared doves out to 45 yards or so. It'll put 5 inside a dime @ 25 meters all day with several different kinds of pellets. I think we got our $$ worth Duckfish.

Back many moons ago I used to shoot offhand Silhouette with a guy who had one. He really liked it. He let me shoot it a few times and I thought it was a good gun. But back then they were kinda $$. Money was better spent on a Wiehrauch. But at the close out price I couldn’t resist.

Mike, have you tried original JSB monsters?

Duckfish, mine seems to like the "hard lead" better, FTTs, Superdomes, etc. I just got back from a read trip to Burt, Iowa. Mike tuned my Meister with an ARH spring & Apex seal I already had and made some custom Delrin spring guides for it. I also came home with his last tuned R7.

You are referring to Mike at FDAR? I heard he might get some R9’s in. How do you like your R7? Never mind everyone loves them. I have an HW 30. I think is been tuned to shoot too hot. 700 with 7.33 jsb. Not as accurate as others have seem to claim. Maybe I should clip a coil?

Try more pellets, mine shoots 7.87's at 695 and is a tack driver, smooth and is not hold sensitive.

Try the AA pellets as well as the JSB's, mine shoots the AA better than JSB's

Finally got a range day, Here is the M. Pro at 30 yds. With considerable wind.
