does anyone have one of these. If so do they shoot well are they twangy ? I should like to have one in .22 to know the crap out of the jacks and ravens in the back yard. I have a 1991 model 48 with Vortek kit in 17 and it shoots well. I am asking because I’m told they are made by Umarex and therefore consist of mostly Chinese parts. Dose anyone know for sure.

Its the same platform as the 46 ,22 cal. should get around 850 fps. with 14.5 g. The cocking leaver pin seems to break in some? easy fix with drill rod.I shoot 2 of them and i through they were smother then the 48-52,

Don't have one, but shot the .22 version last weekend at Pyramyd's shooting gallery at the NRA convention. I was inpressed with the quality of the wood and the shot cycle was smoother than I expected. I couldn't get any good feedback on accuracy, because it had a red dot on it that wasn't sighted exactly right and was just shooting spinners.

Buzzy ? Smooth. It is a choice between this and an HW77 or 97.

I would put it in the same class as my HW97 and TX200. I couldn't sense any buzz from that rifle. I expected more recoil, I think my TX recoiled harder when it was still full power(17 ft lbs). I have a couple full stocked powder burners and you need to be aware of possibility of issues with weather changes.

I had one that was shooting AA 16gr @ about 800 fps. At 30 yds it would group 1/2" to 1" groups. Mine was very accurate and was tuned by Mike @ Flying Dragon at the same price of an untuned one. He does great work and stands behind it. Only sold it because I had 2. The other one is yet to be fired.
