Really isnt a heavy pellet 18 grains for a springer?

Mine shoots the 18s great and no matter how you look at it dead is dead.

My 48 shot the barracuda match 21.14 very well, but I felt it made the gun "twangy" . Now I shoot the jsb exact jumbo express diabolo 14.35. I can routinely hit a chipmunk head shot at 40 yards. I dont hunt much past 50 with springers. 



Depending on your ability to place a shot properly, racoons, squirrels, etc should be ok.

.22 52 -48 powerful springer, needed a drooper mount and strong springer scope.,accurate.not pellet fussy, 15-18 grain pellets worked for me.

I have not shoot it over 40yds hunting.....squirrels no problem, raccoons can be,never shot one farther than 20yds,had to shoot it again,I hate that,shot placement is a must....again it is one of the most powerful springers I own and is more charitable than me...maybe more capable than me.

I took a rabbit with mine at 50+ yards shooting a .22 hades. Was more than enough energy at that range to put it down quickly, took two hops then expired. I wouldn’t shoot anything bigger than a raccoon with it unless it was a close up head shot. Best pellet out of mine are the JSB 13.43’s and 15.89’s
