I would have returned the 460 a long time ago.
The R9 (HW95) is the better gun worth waiting for but I wouldn't buy another (had couple already). Actually I would wait for the R7 if I had to wait and if you probably Just too sensitive shooting springers.
I would personally buy the SIg ASP20 based on 50 yard accuracy reviews posted online and they are in fact in stock. (If I was still a spring gun rifle shooter and didn't have so many PCPs or my RWS 54s and 56s or FWB 300s).
If it's really this accurate at 50 yardsI probably wouldnt care if they arent finished perfectly.
Pay the difference for wood or take the lesser synthetic and add 4 tins (3+1 free) of JSB 10.34gr and a pellet pen.
If you are already too spoiled with PCPs then get the R7 or RWS 54 or 56. Nothings gonna satisfy you once you got a taste of PCP accuracy and ease of recoilless shooting compared to jumpiness and kick from springers aside from these 3 mentioned and probably a used FWB 300s.
I'd specifically buy another Benjamin Maximus or Hatsan Flash maybe another 177 Umarex Gauntlet too before buying another RECOILLING Springer. But that's just me and want to be able to plink at 100 yards with ease and don't need to try hard to do so.

It is true, I am spoiled by my pcp’s, but I would like a springer to keep for those moments when maybe I forgot to fill my gun, or my bottle is empty, or I don’t feel like hand pumping, and there’s a quick shot to take through my window at a pest.
I like all the reviews I’ve seen of the R9, and recoil doesn’t generally bother me, but this 460 was just too much. I dropped the ball buying a magnum, and should have got a medium powered from the get go. I grew up shooting my dads bsa airsporter (given it was sub 12fps) and I did fairly well with it, even with the weight. The gun isn’t going to be fired much just for those quick shots, or a “shtf” situation
