Diabolo Pellets as described in Benchrest Rules

Hey all - I am a little new to this and have a question. I was looking at the extreme benchrest rules and there it stated "only diabolo pellets" - does that translate to standard pellets that look like what I call a regular pellet or is that a restriction to a specific brand such as JSB Diabolos etc - sorry for my ignorance but appreciate it if you can enlighten me - JB

Hey guys thank you - my M-rod 22 really like the H&N Sniper magnums (17.9) - finally tried some JSB Diabolos and ok but 'not so much" - was a little disappointed as I heard nothing but rave reports on all these JSBs - hmmm. Anyway not likely I will ever try EBR but I can dream huh - and will keep exploring different brands of pellets err diabolos - :)

I had a Mrod .22 that didn't like JSBs either.

It shot the H&N barracuda hunters lights out though! Did very well with barracuda match too... every gun is different and likes different ammo but these to worked best for me.

JSB 22 pellets can be 5.50, 5.51, or 5.52 mm head diameter. For some rifles, this is a critical factor. And sometimes, there is a surprising variation within a given lot, or even a tin of pellets. Generally, the JSB Exact Diabolo pellet (and the Air Arms pellets made by JSB) are the dominant choice of air rifle target shooters. Not all dealers stock the various head sizes. I can tell you how to determine the pellet head size independently...
