Devastating, lightweight .357 bullet.

First of all, please don't ask me how it groups at 100 yards :)

Strictly a Hunter so target shooting has no interest for me, I can tell you that they cloverleaf at 30-35 yards easily.

I have a couple Mini-Carbines with 14" barrels that shoot the JSB very well, but I wanted more of a hunter round at that weight or less so I'm shooting the 75gr wadcutter from Matts bullets

they come in .359 and L size them down to .358

Devastating because they cut an immediate clean hole, Been a big believer of the big Meplat for a long time and the Wadcutter takes it to maximum level,...Hollowpoints are more sexy but when hitting bone they also tend to collapse inwards becoming essentially ball ammo.

I have the same style bullet in 148gr that I shoot out of my full size rifle with the 20" barrel

If someone prefers a Hollowpoint Matt makes a very nice 148gr one that shoots fantastic

Yes, very nice indeed! I’m guessing that your jungles are very close to the hard woods that I hunt. So I’ve read that you prefer the meplat verses hollow point, but I am curious about the benefits over round balls.

Roundball like a domed pellet or a round bullet will push flesh to the side while making the hole, a big Meplat and even better a wadcutter will cut a hole with the sharp edges and then slightly uniformly expand while still pushing flesh forward with the flat surface.

Back in the early days on Adventure in Airguns there was a lot of discussions regarding the benefits of a large Meplat even more on a slow moving bullet like we send out from Airguns
