Destructive Beavers vs drs 22cal

I didn't know coons swam like that, I figured they swim but I also figured they mostly stayed on land..
don't worry about beavers.. there will be more.. they are trying to get things together to introduce them all over in our state.. so at some point they will likely be a issue here, just like they have reintroduced wolves near the cattle ranchers and who would have thought about it possibly being a problem..

The idiots in CA are doing the same thing, they've spent millions on flood control now they want the darn beavers to dam up the creeks. Bright not they are.
yes it doesn't seem like we can have normal balance and common sense.. I'm about to the point that I think common sense went to the dogs.. because they seem to have more common sense than people..
I don't like politics, I especially don't like what's going on in the world.. too much unrest and too many needless problems..
too much breaking the law too..
I guess I just remember the good times when my kids were little and before that when I was little.. miss my grandparents a lot..good times .. only one thing really sticks out in my youngest memorys is that rooster that as I remember he was eye to eye with me..he always had it out for me and would hide waiting for me.. funny thing I don't enjoy anything getting killed but like this thread is about some times it's necessary..
definitely in that rooster case.. when my dad caught it hiding in wait for me because I refused to do my chores because of the rooster so Dad hid and watched.. I guess I got Dad's attention when I asked for a spanking instead of doing my chores was a happy day for me when they found out what the problem was with the rooster.. and I was so happy that Grandma put him in the freezer to chill out..
now I see the wild turkey herds all over here, and say they got out of someone's freezer
I had to haze one out of the garden today.. I'm pretty sure he's the same one as last weekend.. maybe I'll start raising turkeys.. but I'm just not sure how deep you plant them in the garden

I was thinking the something similar. For guys that can pull it off where it’s legal to use a .22, hey if you’re a great shot then who am I to criticize? For someone just getting into beaver hunting or pest control who is a mediocre shot, .30 is a good place to start in my opinion based upon my limited experience hunting nuisance beavers. I definitely would not recommend using a .22 airgun to a casual inexperienced hunter going out to hunt beaver.

well I'm not much for using 22 air for more than squirrels.. although I'm sure my airforce Condor 22 would take a coyote down with the 40 grain slugs.. but generally anything more than a squirrel, I'll grab either Henry..22lr or 17 and then you have fast follow up shots.. good body shot on a squirrel and he still might get down his hole although the tail might not..
I once shot a coyote with the 17 heavy hollow point and he took off like a bolt of lightning..I thought it hit right in his side front shoulder.. but it was just behind it.. not sure anatomy but it had to at least go through both lungs.. I couldn't find him but the next day I did.. he made it probably close to 50 yards.. and the shot went in just behind his shoulder dead center top to bottom.. hole going in looked like a 357 and the exit was 3".. so I am guessing that he just bolted and was dead on landing in the draw.. I hate to have to shoot most animals.. but it's definitely a necessity.. if you are raising cows you can't afford to feed them all to wildlife..if you want a place and road you can't have it underwater from beaver's..etc
snakes, especially poisonous should be just born dead
