delta Wolf on test

Apparently the user can type in whatever velocity he wants to shoot using this gun (HMM... within the laws of physics)...

That was the case with the Airwolf MVT as well. Except, there was a software glitch where the computer "forgot" the velocity at times and took $400 to get it sent to AOA and reflashed, the chrono checked-out, etc.

Still, I like my MVT, certainly ahead its time for 2008.

Hey Crusher, wasn’t there a Delta Wolf at the event last weekend? Did you get a chance to shoot it or play with it at all? I’d love to hear more if you had a chance to shoot it and can share. Or Mike, Derrick or anyone else that can share their thoughts.

I was at the Textreme. For me it was great first impression and everyone I talked to liked it!

Suffice it to say I think Daystate did a great job except for 1 thing IMHO, that'd be using just one rear grub screw holding the barrel in place. I'm picky about this aspect coming from the firearms world. Hopefully it will be a non issue because at, or near the top of the list of faults a gun can have, is POI shifts, which I hate, and is one reason, among others, as to why I sold a lot of AG's I used to own (and also why I ordered a Thomas HP because the barrel retention system is beyond reproach)!!! I hope Daystate at least gives the inchpound torque spec so the that grub screw is neither over tightened nor under tightened.

The DW has a fantastic cocking feel, short throw, lever location, and smooth feeding, better than anything I've felt so far in a PCP! It had a natural feeling balance and great ergonomics as well. Daystate did exceedingly well in this regard, I loved the way the rifle felt! IIRC the trigger wasn't adjusted yet so it was a little heavier than I like but plenty good as is.

Easy to adjust the electronics was it's standout feature of course with a cool swipe screen.

In other words there was a lot to like (in this prototype).
