yesterday i got myself acquainted slightly with the rifles functions, and factory settings, i shot both jsb king heavy mk2 and jsb kings through it at 50 yards only as i want to get used to the feel and performance of it at this range before taking things out further, i started off with the mk2,s and lowered the velocity from 945fps down to 890fps as this enabled me to get my standard 0.5 inch groupings ( i am at best a medium shot i think) so no real surprises there , i then tried the 25.39g at 920fps and again 0.5 inch groupings (5 shot groups).
due to the fact that daystate decided to send me a 0db silencer with the wrong thread i had to shoot the delta wolf without one and my word....the wolf can bark! ,you wouldn't think you was firing a air gun!.
the rifles build is best described as mil spec, it is incredibly strong and robust and wouldn't look out of place in a infantry unit and using it yesterday brought back many fond memories of my time serving in a infantry unit in the British army, the feel, weight and handling being so familiar.
I did try a few batches of slugs from a few manufacturers but as of yet i could not get them to group satisfactory, even after changing velocity's so it will be either a case of waiting for daystate's own range of juggernaut slugs to arrive in uk gun shops ( i positively refuse to buy 10 tins from daystate directly) and to see what the howler range can do once .25cals becomes available or doing some in-depth tuning with the advanced modes hammer dwell and voltage etc, i suspect it will be the latter as what is the point in me buying the delta wolf in the first place and if anyone is like me , this is the most fun bit !
hopefully i will be able to get out again and push the range out to a 100 yards and more this week, the delta wolf has certainly got so much to offer.
