I find for hunting a compact 3 x 12 scope is ideal. They typically are around 12 inches long and weigh a lot less than a full size high power scope which makes a compact light airgun bulky and heavy. There are some fixed 10 power compact scopes too but a variable comes into play on close up shots and inside barns . I am running the new Optisan CP 3 x 12 SFP. On my Leshiy 2 and I like it a lot. I prefer the single focal plane recticle for hunting in the woods and have a dope sheet on my gun so I know which cross hair to use at distances out to 100 yards. Or if you prefer to dial the same applies. If the Dedal was made in 10x I would probably try one as I usually keep my scope on 10x for most shots.
