I'm not there yet but was thinking about a new air rifle. Not there because I got totally hammered by the IRS this year...but that's another story. So here's the dilemma:

• Get the New Cricket II in .25?
• Have my old Cricket .25 reworked and power tuned by Charlie?
• Get a Taipan Veteran in .25 (Long, short, regular)?

I have an Impact and it's great by there's something about the Cricket. I seem to always be fiddling with the Impact but with the Cricket, I just pull it out and shoot it. It seems to take up where it left off with no noticeable shift in POI. It's like an old friend.

Just curious....what would YOU do?

Love the one you are with. Sent it to Charlie for the power tune and never look back.Save some coins and buy more pellets. Win win situation.

I really like your options! The power tuned Cricket Is a hammer, the new Cricket would be great and the Veteran long is amazing too, also your caliber option is perfect! Its a win win situation, just make your decision!

Sonny, I like the stock on your Cricket. Where did you find that or is it from Kalibrgun? I have the Synth stock and boy is it heavy! Would like to get a wood one

Had mine power tuned. It did everything Charlie claimed.

So with the "power tune", what are you looking for? Just curious. My Cricket .22 shoots most accurately around 880 fps and I get around 60 shots. And 880 will absolutely knock the snot out of a squirrel out to about 75 yards easily. 

Are you talking power so you can shoot the 25 gr redesigns?

Yes. My 2 yr old 25 cricket is spot on. But, my gun bearer complains incessantly !

Yes, I hear you! Aren't they a pain, those gun bearers, always complain?! 

And now they are pushing for unionization. If they achieve that them gun bearers will be unbearable!







O shucks, I think that's me, I AM the gun bearer that hauled 2 guns, 2 backpacks, 2 ammo crates, chair, table, and chrono out to my shooting position at the cow corral yesterday....

Sonny's is the Mini Carbine so that stock isn't the same as the bullpups.
