Decision time

NEED recommendations for portable compressor.AV, Hatsan, Benjamin. All others. I travel and always take a gun. Usually my impact ( Annie). Shot count being what it is, I need an air source. on extended road trips, the bottle is just not working out

Any brand, all wise words requested. Good and BAD. don't want junk just for a price. I've seen Hatsan for under 400 (12v, that's ok)

What about a smaller CF tank? A little 30 minute tank won't take up much more room than a compressor and will weigh less.

My set-up.

Have a lightning clone and seems to work well. Depending on altitude and temp it will do a full 250 bar fill in 8-12 minutes. Once in a while I will need two run cycles because its getting a bit warm. 12v or 120v, have never run on battery just the converter. Cost delivered $235 from alibaba. Was filling two Croens twide a day for over 4000 rounds this winter in the SW.

I have a Tuxing (Hatsan Spark knock-off) I got off Amazon. It's no speed demon, but it will fill an air gun. I do split fill sessions on my bottle guns to allow it to cool down in between, but it gets the job done. It came with the external 110v power supply and the jumper cables to run from a 12v source and was around $340.00 delivered. It is light weight and compact. I was using it as my primary source of air for about 6 months with no problems. I have a Benjamin Recharge now as my primary fill source, so the little 12v compressor now sits in the truck for road trips...

If you need that much air wouldn't you really better off with something like an Daystate 110 unit. It is not really portable but for what you are talking about is a truly portable unit going to hold up? It could be placed in the bed of a truck and run off a generator. or plugged into a 15 amp 110 source. I don't know of a really suitable solution. Two 90 cf tanks would provide a lot of air and would be my choice. Figuring if I needed more I'd have to find a dive shop or some source. Or you could carry a 400 lb nitrogen tank 👴. Seems like those small units are really only designed to fill guns directly.

Depending on your vehicle and if $$ we’re no object, I would take at least two tanks with you, then invest in a gas driven Alkin compressor or like one mentioned above. I personally would bolt that into the bed of your truck(if you’re driving a truck) or build a lockable enclosure for it.

This suggestion of mine is pricey, but it sounds like you shoot a heck of a lot and it may be worth it to you. You could do it cheaper by hauling your air Venturi that you already have and just invest in a good Honda generator.

If looking for one to tap off of your battery, like Rat Sniper mentioned, the Spark by Hatsan, that thing has been around for two years now, and I have yet to see any negative complaints about that. Definitely have not heard of any failures either.

Go to Hatsan website. They now have a new compressor that’s in the middle of the Spark and the Lightning. I just saw it the other day. Brand new in their compressor line up.

So Amazon sells the tuxting compressor for 339 bucks.from what I have heard It is not a knock off of the hatsan. I saw a video that claimed hatsan just slapped thier name on the Chinese unit and backed it up with hatsan warranty. When you buy the compressor you should buy the insurance for the 3 year warranty. That's significantly better than the hatsan warranty and cheaper. That's the way I would go.
