My friend wants to get into air guns but doesn't want to front the cost for a pcp rifle and pump, i was wondering if there's any good springers in the 250$ or less price range ideally 200$ range any recommendations would be appreciated since im pretty new to air guns myself

Wather Terrus is where I would start. The rifle is $259 at Pyramyd Air. Or, if you have to stay under the $200 mark, I would go with the RWS 240 Classic. It is not a powerhouse, but it will be a better shooting experience than what you would find at Academy or Wally-world.

They are absolutely powerful enough for small game hunting. The devil in the details is that your friend will have to become a good shot, as the lower power requires exact shot placement. Look at some of the British hunting channels on Youtube. It's amazing what they do with sub 12ft/lb rifles.

why is the terrus so cheap on air guns of arizona and like 100$ more every where else? Not complaining because that is awesome but is there anything internally different between the two or just happen to be a great sale?

He went ahead and bought the walther terrus from that link you gave me and got it in .177 175$ total shipped. Any recommendations for what to use on the threaded barrel?

I doubt that gun would need any sound suppression. It should be back yard friendly right out of the box.

If not silent enough get a Weihrauch Silencer it will do the trick if you want short get a Hugget...

I Have a Walther Terrus, 22 cal from AoA. Bought 6 mos ago and very back yard friendly. Plenty of power and very accurate, if I do my part, out to 35 yds. It is almost as good as my rws 34, but at more than $100 less, it is great buy. I had the Hatsun 95. It was close to same in price as Walther but very rough in recoil and accuracy.

Terrus is the way to go, have one in .22, and it likes field target trophy's 5.54 head size, one ragged hole at 30 yards

The RWS34 has been around for decades. Excellent quality with a very loyal following. For $250 shipped, why settle for "almost as good?"

From reading reviews each gun is a little different, I would look at getting a few pellet sampler packs...But JSB 8 and 10 Grain, AA diabolos and H&N FTT are probably a good place to start...

I have a Hatsan 87 QE that I shoot in HFT. Best score to date is 40/60. I only paid $118 for the gun. Now selling for $180 at Pyramid & Airgun Depot. I'm pretty happy with it. The room for improvement is the shooter.

the crosman np1s can be had now for 100 or less. Walmart has F4 model for 75ish where are you located I have a NP1 Shockwave in 22 I want to get rid of, ive shot it about half a tin 100-125 rounds threw it
