I think the OP wants to know what is the recommended velocity for the 25 JSB 25.39gr for the best accuracy shooting from his 25 FX Crown STX.

With the ST-X liner in the WC25 I had, it shot those very accurately at 950fps.
I think somewhere between 900 and 925 is ideal.

Also, have you run a shot string over the chronograph to see how the regulator or your current state of tune is working?

928487381.....My Crown is tuned to shoot the 25.39 gn @ the same FPS as Bob_O's Wildcat.They are just as accurate as the 33.95 gn at out to 60 yards or so. After that, unless its a pretty calm day the groups open up. That's why I shoot the 33.95 pretty much all the time. Reg set at 135Bar and getting 920FPS with a .25 gn pellet is awesome I would think! You have all kinds of adjustability left. I think any airgun pushing a pellet at 920 FPS without an LDC will be loud. I post some shot strings of mine under "PCP's that Bob_O cleaned up and repost for me. Mine has the reg maxed at 150 bar and I NEVER touch it per Earnest Rowe's advise. I only tune with the power wheel and the TP wheel. You can see what those adjustments can do. My council is..............Shoot the gun for at least a full tin of ammo where it is set now, Check your performance over a chrony every 50 shots or all shots. LEAVE THE REG ALONE. If you do touch the reg? You have to start all over. Damn near every Crown owner has had to do this work to optimize the potential of these guns. Then the temp changes 20 degrees one way or the other and you tweek the setting again. LOL

Oh man, you had to mention the temperature didn't you! ;-)
I deal with this when doing chrono work in my basement (65*F), only to have it be 25*F outside. That kind of temperature difference makes for a good 20fps drop in velocity.

Listen to Dennis, he is correct. I shoot my .25 Crown with the same pellet 900 with LDC and 940 without LDC. My reg is factory set at 130 bar.
