Is there a way to foresee or estimate when a dealer will put a certain air gun on sale or clearance? Just wondering if it's done out of the blue, or if there is "dealer strategy" involved.

No strategy except with guns that are going out or not being produced. In slow months like Jan to April there are a little more deals I suppose but that is usual for sales.

There's some good deals on Daystates right now with the Delta Wolf out.
For most other things, demand for airguns is high right now in the US so I wouldn't foresee too many deals. Econ101: Supply and Demand.
