They were only 15 yards away.
Yes , I hit the wire fence and he dove back into his den, only to come out minutes later and then I got him.

Boy, that .25 hits them like a sledgehammer. Almost seems like a waste of lead. I've never failed to kill one with body shots from my .177 Marauder.
