We have come a long way. Daytime and nighttime range finder with speed measurement for less than $200

Amazing. What just a few years ago would have cost thousands of dollars, now can be had for one or two hundred. Have you tested to see how far it'll reliably range an organic target in bright daylight? (hardest challenge for a rangefinder)

For those interested, I also picked up a couple budget night vision units for a couple bucks each, and was impressed with the results:

There is something just too cool about night vision that is hard to put your finger on. :)

Interesting product, Watched the Steve Allan video and some reviews but have not seen if you can set it to Yards or it only measures in meters?

Did see where it measures temp in F or C.

It can be set to yards. The picture is a lot clearer than how it looked on Steve's review. I guess filming through a phone degraded the picture quality.

You can go into the menu to change it. It reads yards and meter, F and C for temp. And also read mph and kph for speed on car. It also has a compass and also tell you what degree you are tilting the range finder. Lots of features but I only use distance to range cause that's what it's made for. Went out to a shooting range 50 yards and 100 yards and it read 1-2 yards less. So pretty accurate. No range over 200 yards so can't test if it's accurate up to that but it you point to an object far away it will read over 200 yards.
