Great looking rifle. But way out of my fixed income budget though. Guess I'll stick with the break barrels and still be able to eat every day.

Yes that makes perfect sense and such a clever concept, interesting point on the BC of a pellet I hadn't thought about that, shooting a long shot string at high power over an extended pressure range should be even more consistent.

Nothing that my impact and FX chrono can’t do. Other than the sliding rail, nothing interesting. The way I see it... they designed a copy of the impact and put a 1600$ computer in the stock. Really not interested in having so many electronics on my rifle. Failures after warranty will be way unaffordable for the average air gunner.

In my mind a culmination of the best two guns on the market today, over a year ago I heard people saying wouldn't an electronic Impact be great, the consistency of the electronics combined with easy caliber changes without the need to re-tune, what's not to like? especially with all the new features the gun has as extra, chrono feeding back to the brain, mags that can be loaded whilst shooting, mechanical and electronic regulation combined, the fantastic ART barrel technology etc. etc. I'm excited, only question is what purpose will my Impact serve now as I would never be without my red and blue laminates!

Well lets do the math - 2450 British Pounds equals $3197.00 USD! Now lets add a mid range prices scope at $600.00, and Atlas Bipod at $300.00...so ballpark figures we are talking about a $4000.00 +/- pellet gun. The presenter in the video purposely avoided telling us what the power would be in the various calibers, which leads me to believe that this pellet gun - like other Daystate pellet guns - has just average power to shoot pellets but most likely will not have the power capable of shooting slugs.
And then think of learning how to program the computer program to tune it...I laughed out loud at this video because I have been wondering just which airgun company was going to have the nerve to make an FX Impact MKII look alike! Ha ha ha! And I also laughed at all the things the presenter deliberately didn't say about this Impact knock off that looks like it would go perfectly in a new Star Wars movie...
For my money I will definitely stay with a mechanical airgun...and I believe the best mechanical airguns in the whole airgun world are made by FX Airguns! FX has it on style, function, power, versatility, and parts availability! Maybe Daystate should hire Fred Axelsson to design a new rifle for them... Ha ha ha!

I'm not sure where your assuming it will only be a pellet gun. Last I checked the Safari is a 60fpe .22. This gun will likely be just as powerful if not more.

Most of your comment is unfortunately ignorant of a lot of the information that has been provided prior to the video, including the return of the MVT type 'tuning' where you simply choose the velocity you want to shoot on the screen and fire a few rounds for the chrony and the rest of the system to set. No programming etc etc.
The power levels Tony Belas quoted were 6-90fpe and calibers are 0.177-0.30. So perfectly good power numbers for normal use of a pellet gun. Will do just fine for slugs too in most cases.
Just because something looks impact like, doesn't mean it is trying to be an impact. And much like the old Chuck '300bar Huma' saga, just because you believe something, doesn't necessarily make it true.
Just let those of us excited about this gun be excited. It's literally no skin off anyone's back. Many of us, me included, have an impact or other FX and genuinely like them.

I just noticed in the banner up top the fx impact advertisement has “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery” quote. Has that always been there or was it aimed at the Delta Wolf?

The Delta Wolf has power potential of 35% more than the Safari. Example 30 cal Safari we see 85 ft lbs on high. Delta will be much more than Safari.
The Delta Wolf can be tuned by the user with no additional device needed. In increments of one fps to achieve the perfect speed for a given pellet. The customer perfected tune can be saved in the computers memory for future use when desired. Many of customers custom tunes can be saved for different pellets or slugs. Say goodbye to paid Gurus. Each owner is his own Guru.
This is a very exciting product for all of us.

While I agree the info in that video left the majority of the questions unanswered along with the astounding price that it appears its going to be I would have to disagree with you on the rest. I mean sure it resembles a Impact but if you took pretty much any centerfire bullpup and stuck a bottle under the barrel it would look like one too and the user programmable electronics is the best part. Just think having the ability to change ammo or calibers and not have to turn dials and knobs and reg pressure and hope you got it right. I think price is going to be its only drawback.

I do like their products very much, but I also like FX, Vulcan, EDGun, etc. I’m really not sure, other than jealousy, what this “copy” thing is all about? Doesn’t it seem odd that fanboys can crow to their hearts content about their impacts, but no one says ***** Yet say a few constructive things about a new Daystate product and some wingnut will brand you a *****? Weird, things that make you go hmmm.
Don’t all standard rifles and carbines look alike? On the same note, all “tactical” guns are going to look similar since form follows function. Wasn’t the EDGun the first popular bull pup Airgun sold in the USA? There is little doubt that the Delta Wolf is the most technologically advanced Airgun in the world. If you want to adopt revolutionary technology then fine, but as has been said, it’ll cost you... how about we wait and see if this gun performs as advertised?
Also, why is this phrase “pellet gun” tossed around? The ART barrels shoot slugs well, and 90 to 100 FPE is more than enough to shoot them accurately and long range.

The price you quoted was for the 12fpe version. The full power one is a fair bit more.

I've obviously noticed many stating this is a copy of the Impact. Not much in common from someone who has seen both guns and understands the functionality of both. Only so many ways a tactical gun can be built and many will have similar attributes as guns progress. Companies look at what people want and how something might be improved, I believe the Delta Wolf has many of these features people have asked for and more. Usually those unhappy may be in fear of something better on the horizon. As far as the price goes I don't believe this has been determined in stone... I think we have to look at how much time and money has to be spent on other brands to get them to achieve the "harmonic friendly" results that the pros get. The Delta Wolf will allow the user to be the tuner and have full control over the performance. Of course this gun isn't for everyone, just a new offering that's different from anything else. Nothing really to compare it to at all.

A few criticisms of the video here, but if we are honest we must realise that due to the cancellation of IWA all the manufacturers that were going to showcase their new products to the trade (and then to the public) will have had to make some quick decisions on how best to do it, at least Daystate attempted to produce a proffesional looking video in the short time that was presumably availible rather than shoot it in the stock room at the factory.

Even as an owner of three Impacts, and primarily an FX shooter, this rifle excites me. The tech built into the system being able to tune, save your tunes (as Rob mentioned), built in chrono, it’s basically a smart gun. Looks like Daystate’s goal was to build a rifle aiming towards a shooter that wants to invest in a whole package, meaning versatility, semi-tooless tune-ability, means less gear to bring with you to the range. Yes you’re going to pay for it, but how many rifles and how much do you have invested into your Airgun collection? Even with the excitement, having wrenched for a high end European car company I know that when a new tech or feature comes out to let the honeymoon phase pass to see what bugs/issues that may come up, so it’ll be interesting watching/reading what future owners have to say once the rifles have been put to use.
