Daystate Wolverine R .22 HP

Anyone have any info on 50 yard accuracy and velocity using the 18.13g JSB’s?

How about the 25.4g JSB Monsters?

Unfortunately the Wolverine R HP’s are not tunable like the RW’s so I’m afraid I may be stuck shooting only the Monsters if I want any accuracy. Any input is appreciated.

Hey guys, so I ordered a Wolverine R in .22 a week ago but found out that AOA had no more available today when I inquired about my order status. Long story short, I opted to upgrade to the HP version in .22 cal. instead of waiting for another shipment in a month or so.

I was hesitant at first as I wasn’t sure on how the accuracy is like with this gun shooting the JSB 18.13 pellets or what velocity is expected with this pellet.

It looks like the 25.4g monsters are not in stock so I’ll have to use the 18’s for now.

I also went ahead and ordered the 75 durometer Viton o-rings since I’ll likely be running into the same problem of blown o-rings like the guys shooting the RW HP’s.

I was shooting my new Red Wolf HP .22 inside yesterday at 50 yards. It was spot on using the redesigned 25.4 JSB's at mid power. I started at the bottom of the target page and worked my way up to the top row. I was also switching from mid to high power on the middle rows. Settled on mid power and was very happy with the top row! All the flyers were my fault for the most part.

To be clear, you opted for the HP version of the Wolverine R? Responses have been about a RW.

On the Wolverine, while I don't have numbers, I think any adjustment is going to be the same as any reg'd mechanical gun. Reg and Hammer spring. But wouldn't even guess at doing those on a DS without doing some research. I don't have one. I would go back to your retailer, especially if you want to shoot at a certain power lever with certain pellet weights.

If the HP isn't the right answer, waiting a month or 2 might be a heck of a lot less costly and stressful than getting the wrong 2k gun. AOA has some pretty good folks in the service dept that might be able to help. The sales folks.... want to sell a gun...😉

Yes I ordered the .22 HP version. I don’t mind the increased power. I’m interested in knowing if in standard out the box form, it’s shooting the 18’s supersonic in the 1000 fps range. If so, that means I have to look at getting heavier projectiles to slow things down.

I’m guessing that if no one knows this information, I’ll be the guinea pig and find out first hand.

The gun is capable of 45 ft lbs according to Daystate’s website, which I’m guessing is achieved with the 25.4g pellets, not the 18.13g. That puts velocity at 893 fps. So then would the 18’s be moving in the 990’s? I have no idea.

I’m not planning on messing with the reg or HST on the gun myself.

I’m hoping they get the gun to me by this Friday.

If 25.4's really do 893, that will put 18.1's around 1045 according to chairgun. That's a tad fast... Weather sucks here so I've been bored, There is info out there on adjusting the reg. I know you said you don't want to touch it but the other options to me mean waiting to see what your gun actually does with what pellets (there are other pellets besides JSB) or asking AOA to set it somewhere specific. I use listed specs as a starting point and adjust my own from there. My RW is staying as is even though it's shooting harder than advertised, Rules out the 12fpe game...
