Daystate wall charger

Look on Amazon and search 'mimh balance charger'. Any 9.6v battery should be no issue for even lower priced hobby chargers. You will likely have to fabricate a charge lead - and will use the plug or socket from your dead charger - cut the wires and attach banana plugs to the wire (in the correct polarity) to then be able to plug the wire into your new charger. Then just learn how to program your new hobby charger so it doesn't charge your MK3 battery too fast. The appropriate charge rate may even be specified on the label of your old, dead charger.

This is the one that came with my Mk3. Works fine. A little higher output, but the manual states that it is fine. Could very easily make one with the correct plug end.

Yikes! Maybe I should ask around if some has an extra Daystate charger to sell.
