Excellent video and very well done. IMHO, the extra initial investment in a quality brand name compressor like the Coltri MCH-6 (Daystates are Coltri's rebadged), Alkin W31, or Bauer Junior II are well worth the investment over time. When a buyer considers the reliability, time savings, retained resale value, and trouble free operation of these brands, it actually more economical than replacing cheap compressors that only last a year or two before needing replacement.

Certainly a valid opinion. And it is every bit as valid as the opinion of those many that have used the "cheap compressors" for a very long time that they have been a good investment for them. And no more valid, just different. As usual, their ain't just one way or even a "best" way, just what is best for each individual.

It’s all in the priorities, really. Just last night I took a moment to look at the review of that new Daystate delta Wolf. I’ve never been attracted to Daystate platforms, but man oh man what an awesome set up this is! Then I saw the price tag. I imagined myself if I had the $3500 cash to play with, and was without the Alkin I already have that I picked up used a year ago, would I take that money and score on that delta Wolf or invest instead on a new W31 vertical model? 

Ha! The compressor always comes first before the gun! With me anyway, others may do the reverse.

I’m of the opinion that the money is even between the top end compressors ( Alkin or similar) and the YH . However if you factor in convenience and especially for guys that shoot a lot the winner winner chicken dinner is the Alkin.
As to the Delta Wolf ? Yep it’s a pricy piece for sure. However you can easily invest the same amount in an Impact. Ask me how I know. Which is the better gun Impact or Delta ? It’s probably like the compressor debate valid opinions on each side. I personally object to waiting. That’s just me. Electronic vs mechanical. All I can say is the electronic triggers are sweet . That might tilt me towards the Delta. What I’m waiting for is a rifle platform with the Delta tricks. Think I’ll be waiting long?

Oddly, one can purchase a non rebranded MCH Coltri for much less than the Daystate. A LOT less. Not to mention they double the cost of the oil they sell at the rebranded dealer here in the U.S.A. GRRRRR!!!!

The Daystate Type 2 comes with a full cage and and adjustable pressure shutoff gauge. Adding those two items to a non rebranded MCH6 Coltri would bring the cost up to about the same cost as the Daystate. It's up to the buyer to decide if those features are worth the extra cost. A non rebranded MCH6 Coltri for airgun use typically has a couple of features that the Daystate is lacking, a PMV valve, and a foster fill whip with a bleed valve, good options for also filling small tanks, empty tanks, and guns. If I had a busy shop that topped off tanks, and without a dedicated person to monitor the fills, the Daystate configuration would be the better choice.

Rayzplace is a U.S.A. distributor of Coltri compressors. Ray has the same compressor as the Daystate Type 2 for $3,367.00. A MCH-6 with the light frame, hour meter and pressure shut of is $3,072.00. Nuvair has the Daystate Type 2 configuration starting at $3,700.00 without the hour meter and pressure shut of. I would think a person could get one for less, but not A LOT LESS! AS for the PMV valve I just don't open the tank valve until the pressure builds in the compressor Later, Shorty Legger
