Daystate do have an airgun database on there website. You can log in and see some basic info on your particular gun. As they are selling the programmer and the factory data is so important it should be kept there so owners can retrieve it themselves if need be.
This is bound to come up again as more people are going to want to tune there guns and they are trying to make it easier for people to do that. Also in the future if a gun is sold the new owner they could go back and get the original settings
Otherwise as I understand you have to go back to the dealer who in turn has to contact Daystate for the data. Having the data available may end up saving a lot of work and frustration for everyone.
Good news and bad news.
The good news is that I found a Daystate airgun database and was able to log in after going through a "Register" process.
The bad news is that my RW HP was not found when I searched on the serial number only; an RW with a space followed by the serial number, RW with no space and the serial number, and finally RW with a hyphen followed by the serial number.
More bad news. It looks like once a gun is actually in the database, it may be possible for anyone to bring up gun data if they know the serial number. I'm guessing here as I was able to see data on a Airwolf and a Huntsman that had a serial number with digits equal to mine.
My only heartburn over my experience - since for once in my life I followed recommendations and recorded original rifle data - is finding a database that is apparently not maintained?
The other Mark B.
