Daystate Reliability Survey

You had to ask...

Which model did/do you own? Pulsar Hp and a Renegade
When & how long have you owned it?over 2 - 3 years
What issues did you encounter? Renegade- factory forgot to Locktite cocking bolts. Broken index pins, multiple leaking breech seals. severe damage to pellet probe from the magazine, accuracy issues using the magazine. Pulsar- loose stock, battery holder fell out (loose screws), broken index pins, multiple breech seal leaks, air leaking at index pin, pellet probe damage from magazine, accuracy issues using the magazine
How well did Daystate respond to your emails (or calls) considering these issues? Never responded to multiple emails and technical inquiry form on their website regarding the magazine issue. Finally got a response by repeatedly complaining on the Daystate owners site, said it wasn't a problem and only cosmetic, and that they only knew of any magazine issue on 4-5 rifles worldwide.
How would you rate Daystate’s customer service (1-10)? 1
Would you buy another Daystate and why? Never, bad experience all around.

Daystate Regal Huntsman in .177 (Huma and HP). A bit over a year old. Love this rifle. Had an issue with declining accuracy, but this forum helped me solve it. Turns out the shroud was not on quite as tight and aligning and tightening rectified things.

Daystate RW in .177 (regular power). About 4 month old. Index pin broke, but I had over 14K shots on the rifle. AOA and this forum got me back up and running. Some accuracy issues with the magazines. Not too bad, but I wish it could be as good as the SS tray. May have to invest in the Plastic CARM or Rowen SS loader, but that would require raising the scope. Love this rifle. My current favorite and the Regal is my 2nd favorite.

Will get a Delta Wolf when the dust settles.

While some people will brag on products that work flawlessly, I think you will get the most vocal data from people that are pretty unhappy with something.

Definitely agree with you. The "silent majority" as the saying goes have no reason to voice complaints, in most cases.

Having said that, I myself am currently struggling with pulling the trigger on a new Wolverine R HP. Those bad experiences may be the minority, but hard to totally ignore !

Thanks to the O/P and all the responses here, it's a great thread for those of us trying to decide. 👍

Wolverine R HP .177 and .25. Ground of the hook on the mags and no problem with them. I put a Rowan single loader on the .177 and it works great. I have Sports Match high adjustable rings and have 1/4 inch clearance between the scope and loader when opening the loader. Other than the single loaders that come with them I have no complaints. Sparky Hindeburg, out?
