Tuning daystate redwolf breech seal blown?

I just purchased a used redwolf on here and received it yesterday, shot it all day yesterday using jsb 18gr and loved it, accuracy was awsome, took it out today shot the same pellets for awhile then i decided to try some slugs because i heard they do well with them, so i proceeded to try the fx hybrid 22g slugs shot 3 round and terrible groupings then on the 4th shot it was a loud pop, shot another one and same thing. Is it a blown breech seal? i hope its something simple like that because if its not im going to be pissed.

It’s very possible. I would verify the o-ring is still seated in the breech and doesn’t look damaged. My guess is it probably isn’t there and that’s causing your issues.

yep the seal is missing, I was shooting jsb 18gr on high power and shooting way to hot was get 1064fps, not doing that anymore going to be shooting it on medium power for now on. Does anybody know the seal size? Can’t find a size for it on the internet

5 x 1.5mm for the breech oring... Looks like you removed the outer barrel orings also? They are 12 x 1mm if I'm not mistaken. I use Viton 75 for the breech oring.

yep, O-ring is Gone..... apparently it doesn't like Slugs, you might try lubing the slugs if you really want to shoot them, I suggest you buy at least a dozen or more O-rings if you are going to shoot slugs...... Just in case.

I find in my Wolf the .217 slugs work well from NSA. Then again I also have a heli board in mine which I would highly suggest getting

That'll work... If you're shooting high power, I've found that the Viton75 ones last much longer and don't blow out as easily.

Centercut I’m done shooting high power lol, I actually was getting 1/4” groups at 50yds with those 18’s shooting 1064fps, only going to shoot medium power now lol.. way to hot

What are these heli boards you guys are talking about and what do they do?

If you're getting 1/4" groups at 50 yards, you don't need to know anything about a Heliboard, and you don't need to change a single thing! That level of accuracy will win any 50 yard competition you may choose to pursue.
