Daystate Red Wolf; use on 10m target range? (Feedback)

Hello group,

I’ve been focused on splitting my interest from firearm rifles to PCP rifles.
I would like to get some feedback on my expectations before I buy a PCP Rifle.

My retirement community has several free 10m ranges available. The only shooting requirements for these specific ranges are, the pellet has to be a wadcutter .177 caliber; and if shooting in a range competition, the sight requirements are a peep or a red-dot.

I sure like the Daystate Red Wolf, although I’d be limited to using a red-dot sight; which would be a Leupold Freedom RDS (1 MOA Red Dot) that I currently have, not in use.

While shooting within my community, I’d have a 10m range limitation; I would also like to have the Red Wolf when shooting on larger ranges (not as convenient) outside of my retirement community.

My big question to the group is, using the Daystate Red Wolf on a 10m range with a 1 MOA red dot seem to be unrealistic for a retired old fart?

Thanks!

Wadcutters typically like to be at 550 to 610 fps for best accuracy. A Red Wolf Standard could be tuned that low on 1 power level but MIGHT be limiting if you want to shoot 16.1s at 930 or so. I don't recall instances of the wadcutter 8.4s doing well in the poly barrel that's used on the HP's. I could test it but either way, you'd need someone to tune the rifle down for you.
A couple of our guys use the HP for 50 ft indoor but I think they're running around 18 ft lb for the 10.3s, which DO shoot good in the poly's.
The red dot should be fine...

For the cost of the red wolf you could buy 2 cheaper guns 1 for 10 m and 1 for longer distance or you could but a anschutz 9015 club which is a full fledged 10 m rifle for less than the red wolf and if you are capable it will put pellets thru the same hole all day long!
Thanks Solo1,
Due to my community area having three 10m ranges, two of which are very close to home.
I'll give the Anschutz 9015 Club a good look.
