Daystate Red Wolf HP .22

Attached are few groups with my Daystate Red Wolf, good groups but one pellets shoots away, any suggestion to squeeze the group further. I am using Heliaboard and had a very little variation in velocity. Groups are after ckeaning barrel, taking around 35 shots and made these groups.

+1

I use a cyclists glove with a silicone padded palm to give a more uniform grip.
Assuming you have no wind and are shooting right handed, you’re anticipating the shot thus overly contracting your flexors - palm side of your hand, arm and pecs At shoulder which will pull shots to the left.

Surprisingly I have faced many issues with Daystate ART barrels, specially in .22.

Recently I fixed a Delta / Alpha Wolf .22 hp.

It had a lot of flyers and inconsistent in holding POI.

It's sad that Daystate is providing such stuff at such a high price.

I got all design and barrel flaws detected and fixed.

Now the gun is extremely accurate. No flyers. Although the spread is not as low as I want but it's a laser.

I can show you here which areas I have to improve to get the accuracy.

Spent more than a month and around US$ 590.

I am never going to advise anyone to get Daystate. Neither I feel I should fix more Daystate guns.

Many QC issues are there.

The group that I shot on the wall in the pic is 10 shots at 80 yards out of my car. No proper rest. Windy conditions.

Now I shoot 10 shot multiple groups of .22 redesigned 25 grain at 50 meters and all groups are not more than 1/2". No flyer at all. Holds POI perfectly.

At 55 yards outdoors I don’t see the problem? Unless your conditions are completely calm, or indoors those two groups look acceptable to me.
Despite some of the whining above, Daystate makes a very high quality Airgun. The off the shelf .25 Red Wolf I bought late August 2022 came in 3rd Pro at EBR 2022 early October 2022.

After recrowning the barrel of my two Wolverines HR in .25 Cal, one HP and the other one non HP, both became indeed accurate at much longer distance.

That group looks similar to the groups the OP posted on the initial post... Nice shooting, hard to tell without a target and just marks on concrete... The point in my post was the great majority of Daystate RW, DW, AW, Wolverine, Huntsman come with very good barrels, do not need additional work and are tournament ready off the shelf. There are no brands that do not have the occasional issue... - yes, even Thomas.

Found the pics of 45 yards groups on paper. There are no flyers and 5 and 10 shots groups are under 1/2".

Before all what I did, it was not doing so well to the point that it was going to be sold out. Even Chines under US$ 500 PCP were performing better.

As far as shooting on concrete is concerned, my experience is the pellets expand when they hit the concrete. Hence the apparent group is larger than the real group.

This is what my Red wolf is doing even cleaning the barrel for 2 hours straight!!! BUT....it was shooting a lot worse now I can get 3 to 4 shots together then I get this one flyer or two. I also found out that the FX 25.4 little better than the JSB redesigns. Well here is a 75 yard group 10 shots with only 2 flyers.View attachment 373374
So this was indoors, or in totally calm conditions? Otherwise those two could easily be wind related. Were. pellets sorted?

Hello!

I will need your help.
I bought an Alphawolf 22cal tried a lot of pellets
JSB Exact monster 25.39
JSB Exact jumbo beast 33.956
HN Field target trophy 14.66
JSB JUMBO 15.89
JSB HADES 15.89

The groups are very bad, for example 1-2 shots are great(same hole) and then its crazy 3rd 4cms up the next 4-5cm down.
Also tried them with different velocities

The shop told me to try to shoot it without the shroud, same results....
Please anyone any suggestions before i send ot back to the shop for check.
The barrel is already cleaned properly also.

Its not my first PCP, i had an MK2 Crown which was perfect and i am also an owner of Fx panthera.

Is it true that you have to wait 7-8 secs between the shots ?

Please help....
