Daystate Red Wolf .177 HP - Heliboard

I updated my Daystate Red Wolf .177 HP with the Heliboard 👍 It was a 30 min job and I was ready to go.

Started out testing all the different power levels with different JSB pellets :

JSB Exact 8.44 gr

JSB Exact Heavy 10.34 gr

JSB Exact Monster RD 13.43 gr

JSB Exact Beast 16.20 gr

I ran 10 shot strings over the FX Radar Chronograph and got the following results out of the box with the standard settings in the Heliboard :

The marked velocities / power levels were the ones performing the best with the given pellet. 



Tried the JSB Exact Beast 16.20 gr at 70 meters later that day and was very surprised at how well they performed at just under 1.000 FPS 😊

I also tried some of my own home swaged 14.2 gr slugs at 70 meters as well shooting them at 993 FPS 😊

Hi! Soren, Just wondering what you are using to tune your Red Wolf with? Do you have a tuner box? I bought a Red Wolf a few months back and LOVE the rifle but am very disgusted that the tuners are not available and Ive been told that they have no idea when they will be available!!!! I think its disheartening that they will sell you a rifle that is precisely adjustable but can't supply the tuner to do it with!! J.L.

Nice shooting Soren , The Heliboard seems to work really well buddy . Are you going to to take it out to 100 yards buddy ??? Mark is saying that I need one . I have the new board for mine BUT I need to get it programmed .. That will be fun ... NOT ! So I shot SprayMark's .177 Safari the other day , I didn't want a high power .177 ... UNTIL NOW !!! Mark's one was off the hook amazing . Accurate as you like and handles so so well . I am after a .177 Red Wolf now ... well that and a .25 of course 😁😁 . My Wife will kill me ! ]

The programmers are being produced by another supplier and I was told 4-6 months before they will be ready, I am not sure if the previous supplier went bust or is no longer producing the unit, but it's certainly not Daystates fault that this has happened.

Thanks a lot, Roger 😁 I will be taking my Red Wolf .177 HP out to 100 meters with both the JSB pellets and my slugs 👍

Thats a pretty good shot count with those velocitys , i am currently awaiting delivery of a compressor so i can start doing my own testing , i dont think i will be getting the shot count out of my .25 hp redwolf like you do out of your .177 but i will try and find a slug that gives me the best std dev at the highest velocity before tweeking the power setting to get a happy medium of shot count and velocity
