The Daystate air rifles: good technological solutions and high reliability. Two models Red Wolf and Pulsar - particularly deserve attention.
A lot of airguns companies use pressure regulators in their solutions - this is the mechanical part for maintaining a constant pressure in the firing chamber. The reductor has movement parts and his lifetime is limited. Mechanical reducers (regulators) require systematic maintenance.
The Daystate Pulsar, Red Wolf has electronic pressure sensor ( temperature compensated ) and the power are reulated electronicaly.
What it mean ? - this solution will be operates reliable for long time or end of live the pressure sensor ( i am thinking ~ 10 million full pressure cycles )
Red and Pulsar
The Daystate Pulsar is powered from 6xAA batteries but you can use 7xAA rechargable batteries with new the battery container .
You can apply 6 AA batteries, but this requires changing the level of the "battery indicator".
remove the battery container and cover of electronic.
Discharge high voltage capacitor via the resistor ~150-300R/0.5W for 20 - 30 seconds. Check voltage on the capacitor ( left pin of coil connector and "-" electrode ) and make sure that the capacitor is empty ( without voltage ).
if you add a parallel resistor, the "low battery" level will be lower.
