Daystate Pulsar .22

Modded my Pulsar with a different board and now has 12 power levels rather than three. I wanted to compare with factory settings. With a 15.89 JSB, from the original board, I chronographed Low and got 804 FPS. Medium was 879 and hight was 947.

I then checked the speeds with the after market board and got the folllowing. Speed 1 -370FPS Speed 2 495 Speed 3- 610 (this was the highest speed that did not got through a typical metal barn. Shot straght, no angle at 25yds)) Speed 4-690 Speed 5- 729 Speed 6- 780 Speed 7 830 Speed 8 - 905 Speed 9 - 960 Speed 10 - 980 Speed-960 Speed 12 - about same as 11.

Decent groups in power 3-7. Going any higher they started to open up a bit. All groups could have been better as I was shooting quickly mainly interested in speed checking.

At speed 1 at 25yds it was shoot....wait wait dink hit. Just interesting. That first group at 1 was still as tight as all the rest until I was up around 11 or 12.

I have a red wolf .22 HP I just put the Helliboard in. I did some base shots just to get some numbers for each power level. Then I got down to doing the work. I now have the gun shooting great. The JSB 18.1 wouldn't group well with the Daystate board. I have the programmer and just couldn't get any numbers to work great.

I had some work done on the gun and it was shooting a lot better when I got it back from Air Guns of Arizona.

I put the Helliboard in and here are my numbers after doing the work.

Power level 9. JSB 25.4 redesigns. Shooting 939 FPS

Power level 8, JSB 18.1. Shooting 952 FPS

Power level 7, JSB 18.1 Shooting 894 FPS

Power level 7, JSB 15.89 Shooting 953 FPS

Power level 6, JSB 15.89 Shooting 900 FPS

Power level 4, JSB 15.89 Shooting 735 FPS

Power level 9, 8, 7 and 6 are lights out at 40 yards. That's what I have in my backyard. 1/2 inch groups or better.

You need to work on the individual settings in each power level to get the most from the Helliboard.

Spend the time and you will get the rewards. It's worth it.
