Daystate Pulsar .22

Thanks to the suggestions on the forum about what to do to get my Pulsar shooting low enough velocity to prevent punching holes in a farmers barns. I think I am going with the Heli board for the Daystate. Got an immediate response from Jaxk (very close to Donny FL's service) and the board including shipping etc, is real close to $270 US. Jack also sent me the manual for installation and operation. I think you have to be careful but doable.

I wrote here a while back about the Pulsar needing two cycles of the bolt after replacing a magazine before it would fire. Others too had experienced it. Called AOA and got around to where it was probabably the magazine setting on the rifle. Magazine is not the first place I would look. I can't remember if it was on or off but I changed it from what it was and the problem went away. Maybe worth a try if you are having that issue.

2nd I asked Donny FL what moderator to add to get it super quiet. He said the Shogun $185. Got it and installed it. Cocked the rifle and shot it. I thought something had gone wrong inside as there was hardly any sound at all. I think it was just a few moving parts inside the rifle that I heard. I was so sure that it wasn't really firing so I put my hands near the tiny holes, not infront of the barrel, that are drilled into the end of the moderator. I did feel air escaping. I put a magazine in and went outside. Sure enough I was holing the target but really didn't think the rifle was working until I saw and heard the paper being struck. This isn't just a moderator. It doesn't 'moderate' it totally stops most of the sound. I have a Ronin on my Taipan vet .25 and it does 'moderate' the sound to a more acceptable level. The combination of the shogun on my Pulsar .22 demonstrates silence...not moderation. JFYI for what it's worth.

Ha? What is a Peek?
