Daystate MK3

Would anyone happen to have one of these rifles?

I have one of the older units that has the external regulator. I was having issues with it, so I replaced it with a Lane regulator. I took the old regulator and modified it to act as a plug. I am getting some leaking around the plug/old regulator. I should have taken pictures of the regulator before I did anything, but I didn't.

So I either need to seal up a hole on the modified regulator plug, or have a plug made to replace it.

Thanks guys

threads into the side of the valve body. So it hangs down between the batteries.

I couldn't leave well enough alone and went for a more reliable internal reg.

Ah, that would be a factory Reg that was used on FT model and another later version that came just prior to MK4.

Remember now seeing a bit of conversation on the OLD Daystate Owners Forum a few years back. That site like many got hacked or something and all the data was lost to the ages ... Sad !!

I can see why this reg is not real precise .... HUGE seat on Spools end with a lot of area. The better performing Regs are 180* from this using a VERY SMALL seat with minimal area.

Yes indeed the HuMa internal works fantastic and has these Electro Daystates run with Very tight ES values. Nice conversion !!!

I ended up with a lane as be was helping me figure the old reg out.

What I ended up doing was cutting the old reg just above the threads that go into the valve. Then welded everything shut. Though now getting leaks around the ring. The original had a breather hole further up I believe, though there is one that sits just below the bottom ring
