Daystate Magazines an Alternative (I think)

Just got a Pulsar and I thought FX mags were expensive. Right now a .22 magazine is $100. It's not even the new type that open up in front similar to the new FX mags. I did some searching and found a company in Croatia (Carm) that sells after market mags for about $35.00. I took a chance and ordered two. With the shipping and a tracking number from the croation post office it was $70 about. I neglected to tell CARM the specific rifle I had and from which side I load the rifle as there are some magnets on the mag that keeps it connected. That inquiry was immediate and the company followed through nicely so my order could get shipped. No problem with the CC#. My bank allowed it (Croatia) without verification. Once I ordered something from China for model airplanes and I had to notify the bank before I placed the order and they would only authorize a two hour window to place my order. Had none of that hassle with Croatia. I'll let you know how long it takes and what I think of the CARM mags. They looked well made on their website. Also had a snazzy single pellet loader which I don't need but some might want to know about it.

I bought 2 mags for my Daystate Huntsman from CARM (Darko) after waiting almost a year for the new Daystate mag from AOA. I gave up and ordered 2 from CARM. They are flawless. I have 3 new ones coming for my .177 Crown & expect them to be great too. I have read where others have been very satisfied with his product. The wait time for the order could be with the US customs before the USPS gets them for final delivery. Tracking is surprisingly good. You'll like them & they are worth the wait.

He makes great mags. Many reviews of them around here. I purchased a couple for my Pulsar. There are things I like and dislike about them (vs the factory mags), but for the price, they are hard to beat. I purchased a couple for my Uragan too. Never had an issue. Mine took around 3-4 weeks to arrive, but that was in the worst part of the pandemic. He actually shipped in 1 day I think. I liked that could choose my colors.

Order a single shot loader for my .22 cal red wolf hp from carm took about week and half to get, good product, great communication from them usually ships out a day

My understanding of the shipping delays is that the during Croatia's Covid19 lock down mail & packages to the US were not getting out of the country.

There was a long wait for the Daystate 22 mags & single shot loader. (ordered in April & delivered June)

Previous orders (Daystate 25, Nova Freedom/Liberty, Diana Bandit/Chaser) were always delivered in a timely (international) manner

Regarding Darko's products:

IMO they are well made & function as they should

...after waiting almost a year for the new Daystate mag from AOA. I gave up and ordered 2 from CARM.

Mine wasn't a year, but same story here. After calling around and hearing great things from everyone, we ordered several for the Wolverine, the Revere, and a couple of single shot inserts as well. Looking forward to them.

Will the Carm magazines work in the Revere? Are the Carm magazines similar to the old style, or does he have the new style on his site? I didn't see the new style listed, so I haven't ordered.

Hi Damon,

I had the same questions, so I contacted CARM. This is the reply I got:

Hi, you can choose magazines or loaders according to the caliber available.

Only thing you must do is add note (at the end of the ordering process) about model of your Daystate rifle and from what side do you insert magazine into the rifle (because of the pin and magnet position).

Regards,

I love the carm mag in my airwolf. I got mine a couple weeks ago. It took about 6 weeks I think. Darko shipped it very quickly the wait was once it left Croatia. I'm not sure the US isn't quarantining packages. Be aware mine was a little taller than the daystate mag that just cleared the scope. I had to install taller rings

FWIW I took measurements using a $21 digital caliper from Amazon

22 Caliber

CARM height 1.345" & 1.346"

Daystate height 1.296"

Difference 0.05" (1/20")
