Daystate Huntsman vs. FX Royale

I believe, if you look up past EBR statistics, you'll have no problem finding the Royale platform among the many shooters. Never owned a Huntsman but in the category of simple, accurate, repeatable guns the Royale & Huntsman seem to be "brothers". Straight out of the box shooters. I prefer the Royale's side lever as opposed to the Huntsman's bolt action.

I have owned 2 huntsman and I still own a royale 400. Both are awesome rifles. You will get double the shot count with the royale and some adjustability. Both are fiddle free guns and are very accurate. The royale likes 18.13 JSB’s the best and the huntsman likes 15.89, so you will have a little more power in the royale. The .177 huntsman liked 10.3 JSB’s the best. I have read that the royale is simple to repair yourself but not the huntsman. I never had a problem with any of them.

I own both, and like them both. As mentioned above, the Royale is easier to tune, and has a considerable advantage in shot count. I prefer the Daystate trigger design, although my Royale has not given problems (I replaced the standard trigger with the Boss match trigger). If you tend to tinker, the Royale might be the better choice. Both are among the best value in the market .

The Huntsman is a joy to carry in the field, the Royale is maybe a pound heavier but difficult to mount a sling on, the shot count on the Royale is a delight, The whole bottle thing is an acquired taste, I love the looks of the Huntsman and the wood that comes with them is very nice. I found the trigger on my Royale to be very nice, not quite as light as the Huntsman, but I've never felt it was any kind of issue .-My opinion? Get both!
