Daystate Huntsman Regal setting Altaros regulator

hi douger; do you have or had a REGAL. If so can you recall some of your settings. i was under the impression that the Regal has the sling shot hammer does not have much to go by when it comes to tuning it for the exception of the hammer spring. i'd appreciate the help thanks
I don't know exactly how much you can or need to tune a Regal. There are 6 or so in our group of shooters and ALL shoot incredibly well, without any tuning. I put a derlin washer behind MY hammer spring so I could get a little more fps. to shoot the 18.13. Mine in non regulated. It's about even in our group who has a regulated vs. non regulated. But generally it seems the non regulated will shoot paper slightly better than the regulated, when you find its curve and stay within it. A couple of the guys who bought the regulated version, now wish they would have gotten the non regulated.

i also put a thicker washer behind my hammer spring to get a little more fps. now i can shoot 18.13g. i took the reg out again to see how it would shoot as for as for fps. pretty happy about it but i don't want to waste air and i don't want to loose my fps either. where would you go from there. back off on spring and see what happens are what. it shoots the 18.13g at 870 really nice. love the groupings and speed. i have notice it's a little loud not much but i have notice it. i usually shoot the 15.89g but i wanted to try the 18.13g since my fps went up after installing the derlin washer. i know we can't have our cake and eat it to as they say but i'm sure trying to. one thing i never liked is when i fill tank to 3200 psi which is normal; the first shot is usally around 843 fps and then starts going up to 870fps. it takes about 20 shots to get there then gradually slowly goes down; which is normal. if you can suggest anything that i might not be doing i am all ears thanks
