Daystate Hunstsman Regal aftermarket regulator

i got a regal xl huma regulated a month or so ago, its paperwork says 41FtLb. I get just over 20 good shots (from about 230 to 170 BAR) before the point of impact starts falling. is this the norm?

if yes, then i should learn to live with it i guess.

low shot count is the only gripe i have with this excellent rifle.

shouldnt a regulated rifle be shooting in the 'band' right from the 250BAR maximum pressure?

That Huntsman shouldn't be shooting too fast. Looks like they turned up the regulator on yours. You should be getting anywhere between 28 to 29 FPE with JSB 18.13gr shooting 830 to 850 FPS in the non-regulated and Huma Regulated model. With my non-regulated Huntsman XL, I get about 35 shots shooting JSB 18.13gr at 850 fps/29fpe from a 210 BAR to 135 BAR fill.

is it simple to bring down the power ? if so how?

Degas, remove reg, turn reg pressure down, re-air and adjust hammer spring for the "plateau" velocity and see where you are. If not where you want to be, but still too high repeat the instructions. Now on the Regal "adjusting the hammer spring" means using different sized spacers and/or shims as there is no "adjuster".
