Hey guys, been a busy few weeks and into the New Year we go with a few field adventures planned in coming weeks. Airguns Of Arizona sent me several tins of the New Daystate Howler slugs in .22 caliber. These NSA manufactured slugs are 20.3 gr with a .217 diameter, HP with dish base that are ART tested in a variety of Daystate/Brocock rifles. Currently I'm working with the American Air Arms EVOL mini that puts out roughly 30fpe that made a great candidate for testing. This gun has a 10" LW barrel with a custom choke that was designed around pellets and not at all what I would consider a slug gun. I was pleased with how the slugs performed and feel as though these are an excellent weight for a wide range of different rifles. This is in no way a review, simply showing my personal experience with these slugs and how they have performed for me. My testing went to 50 yards and plan to go further to 75 and 100 really soon as part of a review I'm producing. I like the "Old School" style beautifully designed tin that include the NSA logo, not hiding who the manufacturer is. Each tin includes a $2.00 off coupon that can be saved and redeemed at any authorized Daystate/Brocock or MTC optics dealer. This is a good value for those who shoot a lot such as myself and puts some of that money back into our pockets for things we can use. I have enjoyed using these quality slugs and look forward to getting out into the field to hunt with them.
