Daystate Compressor

With a type 2 compressor in the shop and electrical all hooked up I may just be in Airgun heaven. Topped off four tanks in the time it would have taken me to just start topping off one tank with my other compressor. It is built like a tank and purrrrrrrs like a kitten. Not sure what I was waiting for? Yes it is expensive, but not more than a high end Airgun with scope and moderator.

250 volt 20 amp circuit was easy to install myself and a fun project with the additional benefit of being able to run a nice shop heater during the winter too (can’t run it at the same time as the compressor). Is it the best on the market? Time will tell, but I am over the top happy thus far.

Daystate uses a Coltri compressor unit and you will have many years of use. My just passed 65 hours. I have the Stainless Steel model with Automatic stop and automatic condensate drain installed. Most of the time for topping up a cf tank the automatic condensate drain only goes off once since is set to drain every 5 minutes. I added a manual drain push button switch to pop the solenoid just before it reach full fill.

@spray1mark which model did you get?

@jack.k is the auto drain a worth while feature or not really necessary when topping off tanks?

These compressors fill so fast that the auto purge is a luxury, not a necessity unless you own a retail shop doing multiple fills at a time. Your T2 has a built in auto shutdown which is very nice but not a requirement to monitor a 10 minute or less refill session.

Auto drain is not necessary for topping up as it a under 10 minutes job. The factory automatic drain setting was set at every 7 minutes I changed it to every 5 minutes so sometimes it fire the solenoid twice if I let my tank get low enough before topping up. Just open the condensate drain valve for a second or two every 5 minutes. The automatic condensate drain was handy to have if you fill empty tanks often. I have only fill from empty just a handful of times. It’s a 30 minutes job.

Hi

The autodrain is not necessary for a pcp tank for a scuba tank that fills from 0bar yes but if you keep the pressure from 200 to 300Bar there is hardly time for the autodrain to activate
