Daystate Airwolf Bolt defect

Some of you read my post about the bolt on my AW blowing out and hitting me in the face. I sent an explanation to AoA and Daystate. AoA and I agreed to disagree on the issue.
I didn't hear back from Daystate until the other day. Stefano found my email, concerned he found the email in his spam. He was gracious enough to answer me.
AoA (Darrin) offered to "work" with me on the repair of somewhere around $200.00-250.00? would not agree to a 50/50 split. I fixed it for $25.00 with parts from AoA.
Have since replaced the 6-40 screw AoA sent with a class 5 I think the machinist called it?

Shame neither did the right thing, fix it free & fast.

From one point I can see ( in any rifle of this bbolt design) a dealer/other saying, well you must have fired it with the bolt op & that weakened/broke cocking bolt causing issue.

But,
Crap design as far as safety.

Once upon a time a U.S. Bigbore maker had rifle with a bolt that "could" come out the rear, one person modded the hack out of theres, had the bolt fly out, and, the manufactor INSTANTLY changed the design so the bolt could NOT come out the back even if tampered with or abused.

Even a crosman emtry level pcp uses a safer design.

Truly glad you were not hurt! And glad you didn't need to contact the insurance carrier and hope no one needs to in the future from the same issue.
