Doesn’t have to be a long range shooter in order to spend a couple dollars more for quality adjustable mounts.
Basically you are buying versatility (if you do not need to use them at an angle).
You gain the ability to fine tune your height, say for magazine clearance. Like when the preferred position for your eye relief has the scope turret casting right above the magazine/breech. Ugg.
Then there is the ability to use a larger objective scope (now or later on). Or, the ability to lower your objective to barely clear the barrel. Or…..
