Day state coompressor?

Been reading up on compressors since I hand pump Been doing alot of research on compressors and the 110 Volt Day state compressor is more than likely a 3000 psi scuba tank filling unit that they modified the cut off 3000 psi stop pressure by Day state to fill to the much higher 4500 psi. It might be a Coltri MCH 3.

I personally wouldn't cinsider buying that one. There had been many reported failures with it and lots of angry owners not recommending it after their troubles.

Of course if it's being used beyond the maximum pressure around 3000 psi for what it was originally designed to fill to it will likely fail or wear out prematurely.

Several owners have sold theirs at a loss in fear of lack of reliability after reading reports of others having theirs fail.

Better to sell while it's still working that's very smart.

It is said the minimum for a reliable compressor is a Coltri MCH 6. Research shows they were priced at $2500. That is $500 more than the Day state compressor for piece of mind.

For alittle more at $3300 there is the Alkin that is said to be far more heavy duty than the Coltri MCH 6.

Research Day state 110 issues or problems you will know more about it.

I have my eye on the Hill compressor or Altaros booster that fills by using a regular compressor with high cfm out put.

Might get a Yong Heng only if it comes with a 3 or 5 year warranty option.

I'm not mechanically inclined to fix a high pressure compressor.

Or may not buy any Chinese made compressor if it dont have atleast a 5 year warranty because odds don't seem too favorable for Chinese manufactured things and reliability.

Do you ever hear about reliable trouble free and Chinese made in the same sentence?

Always got a good ratio of bad ones in the batch. With compressors more likely mostly bad ones.

There are very few folks that can actually brag about their China made compressors lasting more than 3 years.

It is insane to buy them with out a damn good warranty it's as though just willingly throw away your money buying them.

If buying Chinese be sure to pay as little as you can assuming it's going to be discarded after it fails warranty or not.

Athlon brand is the only exception due to their first rate expedited warranty exchange.

Some people will say that's not a good thing because of such praises of the sheer number positive customer reviews about the brand based on their first hand personal experiences of product failures.

I used to be a die hard Vortex fan boy until they went to China for their scopes then look at all of their warranty failures.

If you get a good one you're lucky but how long will it actually last?

If things are good it would be rare to see them for sale on the used market.
