Body was about 6 or 7 inches long and it was well fed!
I have a friend about 1/4 mile south of me that raises Snakes and other creepy things.
Next time I see him I'll ask if any of his feeder Rats got away.

I bet that's the case! I used to be into exotic animals and yup, had to raise rodents to feed some.

Feeders are usually the lab white ones. One may have escaped and mixed in with the local population.
Now you might have to get a blacklight to make them stand out at night

I've lived here for over 25 years and NEVER seen a rat anywhere. Nor have I heard of any around here.
Not that big anyways. Being in the middle of nowhere We do have mice. Lots of farm land surrounds us.
So mice come with that.
