Day 1 of a 2 day mountain airgun slaughter fest

took the wife, daughter and a buddy out for a day of squirrel and snake hunting. Ended up with one western diamondbacks rattler and more California ground squirrels that I cared to count. Was a great day in the hills. Used synthetic marauder .25, my little girls pink red ryder and my buddys springer in .177 (unsure of what brand). Tomorrow if weather is good were going to take the bulldog up for some more fun.

Nice shooting, it's rather rare to find a plague infested population but it does happen. Ground Squirrels cause a ton of destruction to the environment when population gets out of control. Besides carrying disease they cause erosion, kill trees and populate beyond what the environment can handle. I've witnessed first hand how these animals single handedly have destroyed forest. It can happen very quickly over a period of under 10 years when the population gets big. These dirty little creatures eat each other that makes them especially gross. Ewwwww
