Been waiting this one out as it's super flighty and has been burrowing under my shed.

I didn't have time to process before work so dropped it off at the BIL's house so he's pretty pumped dinner was delivered to him this morning lol 

Single .30 to the dome at 30y and done. One hop in the air and didn't move once after.

Lol yeah, my BIL eats almost anything...I think this one had spent all winter under my shed. I'm sure there's a whole family chilling under there. Got a wood chuck that I'm waiting out as well.

Nice kill. I got a darned chipmunk, digging dirt out of my wife's potted plants, throwing it all over the porch, Little Sum'beech is FAST. But I'll get him one of these days - I'm about ready to bait him.

@bltefft thanks man, I had to be super quiet as when I first slowly slid open the door he went to run back to the shed. Waited him out a few minutes and he went back out into the open.

Yeah, the chipmunks are little monsters. I've tagged a couple of them this spring already. Same thing--digging up plants or trying to tunnel under my patio...which has caused the pavers to sink in some spots now 🤬

The toughest part of that gig, is getting that sliding door open and your rifle through the little slot, without banging something or startling your prey.

A 30 to a rabbit, would be like a 50 BMG to a human. OK, maybe not that much, but you had plenty of gun. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, especially for ground dwellers like rabbits.

Nice shot under pressure.
